A Bit About Me

I have always had a passion for the outdoors and nature and my art reflects some of my favorite places along the gulf coast. I started drawing and sketching from a very young age and have always loved to create. All of my artworks are original acrylic or oil paintings on canvas or primed art boards. When the weather is cool and dry, you may find me on the side of the road painting from my mobile art studio, “My Pickup Truck”, along the seawall or other scenic vistas in the Galveston area.

I received my Bachelor’s of Arts and Applied Sciences (Biological Research) from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas in 1993. Where I studied primarily Biology and Environmental Science. I have been a professional scientist for more than 25 years and have always found time for my favorite passions. I have also been blessed to marry my high school and college sweetheart and raise 3 wonderful children. Glinda my wife is the love of my life and she allows me to paint, create wood work, and enjoy life and without her there would be no art.

I also enjoy fishing, exploring and nature watching in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these times in nature. I love recreating birds, fish and landscapes in my work based on our trips and local places.
