Melissa Wilson

Hi, my name is Melissa Wilson, I live in Pearland Tx and am very lucky to call Galveston my second home. We have a house in Sea Isle that I often refer to as my "creative castle" however it is more like a "creative fishing cabin".

I have had a love for art since I can remember and have taken various art classes throughout my childhood as well as a few graphic design classes in college. I work mostly in acrylic and collage. My main hobby and love is jewelry making. I use various materials such as antique tins, vintage postcards, stained glass, titles, broken China, fabrics and even paper. I usually wake up at 3:00a.m. and jot down my ideas. For the past 4 years I have been taking classes from my very talented artist and friend Holly Hunter Berry. I also follow Jodi Ohl, Tracy Verdugo and Elizabeth St. Hilaire. I love the fact that art is a form of expression, it gives the artist the ability to share emotion using color and design. AND as I always say... no matter what... "LOVE WHAT YOU DO AND DO WHAT YOU LOVE...and I LOVE ART!
