A Bit About Me
Welcome to the Reel Dill Art, located on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, Galveston, TX. Lisa Dill was raised in both Nacogdoches and La Porte, and has always been drawn to art and education. Able to see the beauty in the natural world inspired her to capture the serenity of the environment through sketches and paint. Her Bachelors of Fine Art degree from the University of Houston allowed her to creatively teach Language Arts at Space Center Intermediate for 15 years while raising two children.

After traveling extensively and living in Mexico, she moved back to Galveston and to her favorite activity, beach walking. Exploring the beach gave her peace, but was saddened by the amount of trash she came across amongst the beautiful treasures from the sea.

To bring awareness to others of the importance of protecting coastal creatures by picking up careless peoples' litter she transforms it into works of art.

These paintings hopefully spark something inside you. The next time you see trash, pick it up, turn it into something meaningful and spread the word through your artwork, "Pick up after yourselves, Beaches! I'd like to go back to creating regular paintings again one day."
