A Bit About Me
Art has always been a source of joy and self-expression for me, and I am constantly striving to grow as an artist. In my spare time, I find myself naturally drawn to creating—whether it’s landscapes, architectural perspectives, animals, or collages.

I’m an active member of my high school’s art club, which has allowed me to visit local art museums and gain exposure to different styles and techniques. I make it a priority to include art classes in my schedule, usually focusing on drawing and painting. Beyond the classroom, I’ve also helped teach kids at my art teacher’s elementary art camp, which was a rewarding experience and deepened my passion for sharing art with others.

I’ve had the opportunity to submit my work to the Illinois Student Ministries Fine Arts Festival twice, receiving superior ratings both times. In addition, I’ve earned several honors through our local art guild’s children’s art show—honorable mention this year, first place last year, and second place in 2023. In 2023, I also received the “Kids Have Talent Award,” a recognition I’m especially proud of because I was nominated by my teachers for my dedication to the arts.

This past year, I created a small art piece for our local library representing a love for reading, and was honored to be selected as the winner in my age group. I was also one of three winners in an art contest organized by our local Economic Opportunity Corporation.

Anytime there’s an opportunity to participate in something art-related, I jump at the chance. I’m especially excited to take the next step and show my art in Galveston—a place that inspires me and feels like the perfect setting to share my creative journey.
