Katherine McNeill

Her fifty years of painting in many ways has been a spiritual journey. Katherine is very passionate about her work and tries to carry her faith onto canvas in hopes of touching someone's life and giving them a of peace in their hearts.

Mainly a self-taught artist, she is best known for her lively and vibrant oil paintings of nature's majestic mountains and larger than life flowers. Very realistic with a wonderful use of color and light. Her unique style of oil paintings encompasses both brushes and self designed pallet knives, which allow her to create paintings with a beautiful three dimensional appearance. You will feel like you have been pulled into the painting where you can almost smell the clean mountain air, feel the crunch of aspens under your feet or the scent of a flower. Mastering her self-taught style the past 50 years have been very challenging. Painting with such passion there are times I find myself painting into the early hours of the morning not realizing the time of day.

Having the opportunity to travel to Europe, Canada, and the British Isles has given her the opportunity to paint the European landscape along with villages and seascapes.

 

Katherine has promoted herself over the last 40 years along with the many galleries she has been associated with including, Canada, the New York Art Expo, Heart of the West, Coeur d' Alene ID, Art Expo Scottsdale AZ, along with juried Fine Art Festivals throughout the United States.
