Haskell Morris

I began drawing as a young child, creating cartoons on the walls of my family's garage. Throughout school, I took art classes and later majored in Art and Photography at Sam Houston State University. After college, my closest experience with art was as a draftsman, where I helped design a brochure to showcase our products. Fast forward about 30 years, I found myself in the art department of an office supply company, where I rediscovered my passion for art, starting with pencil and then moving to pen and ink. Although I’m not a conventional artist and have a fondness for abstracts, I’ve enjoyed showcasing my work at the local library and selling a few pieces over time. Being a BOI (Born on the Island), I frequently visit galleries and engage with owners to stay connected with the art scene.
