A Bit About Me
I have always been interested in drawing. As a child I would draw objects around the house and homes and floors plans. I guess I should have tried being an architect, but the math would have blown it for me! I loved art classes in school – drawing and painting. I was able to return to college in my thirties and I received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Houston. I didn’t spend much time working on painting while I was employed, but when I moved to Texas City 32 years ago I joined a decorative artists painting club which was one of five chapters in the Houston area that was part of the Society of Decorative Painters. That is when I had the opportunity to really study painting. We worked mostly in acrylics and painted on all different types of surfaces. I will still paint with acrylics, but now I am also painting more with watercolors. It’s all still a learning process. Joining this gallery is a first for me to try and show my artwork. There are many talented and diversified artists showing their work here. Good luck to us all.
